EU food-contact packaging: DoC with every shipment
Selling food in the EU means your packaging needs a paper trail: EC 1935/2004 as the framework, EU 10/2011 for plastics measures, and now PPWR pushing recyclability. We issue a declaration of compliance with each EU shipment, run migration tests through accredited labs when the food type requires, and design toward mono-material and PE-free constructions so the packaging you order this year still complies after PPWR's 2026 application date.
Questions buyers ask us
Which products need migration testing?
Anything with prolonged contact with fatty, acidic or hot food — burger boxes with greaseproof lining, coated cups and bowls. Dry-food packaging usually rides on material declarations alone. We map this per product when quoting.
Do you handle German LFGB requests?
Yes — LFGB-aligned material grades and test coordination are routine for our German buyers. Say LFGB at quote stage and the spec is set accordingly.
How does PPWR change what I should order?
Expect pressure toward recyclable mono-materials and less plastic. Practical now: water-based barrier instead of PE coating, PLA or no window instead of PET, FSC paper for tenders. We'll flag spec choices that will age badly.
